Session 31

The streets will run red! with wine. smiles.
November 16th
Once Eden returns, everyone has gotten their new clothes, and they agree they should probably go seek out Oliver. They make their way back to the tavern where V had met him, Ghost's Call, in one of the poorer part of town. He's not at the inn when they arrive, but Eden pays off the owner for another month. From the sounds of it he's been up to a normal amount of urchin boy trouble. Eden learned from a guard where the kids tend to hang around more the the east, so they head in that direction. They find him and some other misfits burning trash in an alley and they deliver the news of V's strange disappearance. It's clear the news upsets Oliver but he's trying to play it cool. Hoping to cheer him up, Della offers a nightfang to him, claiming it's from V.
After discussing what to do next, the group agrees to go back to the house they had originally met Berwin and Gausallen at, then go see Vasilena's sponsors. The same person with milky white eyes answers the door and after Eden asks for either of thier previous hosts, he pauses for a long moment. Then, finally, says that one of the two men will be right with them, and directs them to the same strangely lavish room on the second floor of the building. They wait for ten minutes or so, before Berwin enters the room. The conversation is terse, with both sides seeming to want to gauge the other's knowledge and intent with it. Berwin is frankly, not really helpful. He tells everyone that the Beast's influence spreads everywhere, but especially up north. He does ask in a strange way about Artem, but they can't perse his intent, so no one reveals more than just that they've seen the posters for him.
Berwin asks Eden if he's familiar with the seraphs, and he replies vaguely that he is, both with the arch-seraphs and the individuals. Vasilena lets it slip that they were warned about the empyrian knight from "a friend of Eden's", and Eden lied, claiming it was Durz who told them. Berwin seemed incredibly skeptical of this but accepted it. They carry on a while longer until Berwin asks if there's any information he can give to them. Unsure what else they can ask about, they narrow in on cults. Berwin starts to list off Celestial Gate, and the Red Priestess—which Vasi zeroes in on instantly to ask more about. Her eagerness again makes him skeptical, but he delivers. The red priestess leads the red church, although those are merely what they're called, not official titles. They worship the primordials, specifically the prismaic wyrm. They believe the Beasts appearance has to do with the primordials.
They wrap up the conversation as the sun is setting. Eden declares he is going to go to a high end inn, something no one else wants to do, and he's fine with that. Della debates going with him as some muscle, but everyone insists they don't need to put themselves out. They agree to go with the other two, reluctantly. They all walk together towards the inner city, though, and as they do come across two circus performers advertising the upcoming shows. A gold dragonborne is performing with fire, while an incredible pale woman advertising the circus. Faust vocalizes how much they hate the circus, and then immedietaly dodges the question of why he doesn't like the circus.
